I came into Social Work after being a Preschool Teacher for 15 years. This foundation was so valuable as the field moved in the direction of integrating clinical skills with the many fields that touch young children's lives. I have been working with Aurora Community Mental Health Center for the past 20 years, where I have had the opportunity to connect with the National Child Traumatic Stress Network and participate in learning collaboratives for trauma treatment and understanding child traumatic stress. I have also been involved with the Colorado Association for Infant Mental Health and in bringing the Endorsement in Infant Mental Health to Colorado. As part of that endeavor I provide Reflective Supervision and Consultation to a number of small groups and individuals.
